Everton withdraws appeal against Premier League points deduction

During the 2023/2024 season, Everton were deducted 10 points for financial irregularities. Following an appeal, the punishment was reduced to the deduction of 6 points. Later, the Merseysiders were deducted another 2 points in another case of violating financial rules. The Toffees appealed again, but have now decided to withdraw it.

“The hearing, which was scheduled for the end of the month, will now not take place,” Everton said in a statement.

It is worth saying that Everton is now in 15th place in the English Championship standings. Sean Dyche's side have already secured their place in the Premier League for next season.
