Excellent problem solving Novak Djokovic took a cautious approach to his return to Rome.

The world number one was almost knocked down by a water bottle that fell from a fan's bag yesterday.

Djokovic showed some creativity today.

“Today I came prepared,” Djokovic captioned a video of him wearing a bicycle helmet over his signature baseball cap for protection as he walked into the tournament grounds.

The Grand Slam king showed a sense of humor as he left the court hours after the frightening scene.

Of course, years ago, Djokovic celebrated Halloween in Paris by dressing up as Darth Vader.

We'll see Djokovic wearing a crash helmet when he takes to the Centrale court tomorrow against world number 32 Alejandro Tabilo.

As world number one, Djokovic is used to looking over his shoulder at the rest of the ATP players chasing him. After yesterday's incident in Rome, he might also look up for a while.
