For the first time in 20 years in the RPL, two players from the same team were sent off after coming on as substitutes

On Saturday, Rostov lost away to Rubin with a score of 1:3. During the second half, Ivan Komarov and Eyar al-Askalani received red cards as part of the Rostov team. It is curious that both of these players entered the field not from the first minutes, but after the substitutions were made.

According to Opta, the last time in the RPL two substitute players from one team were sent off was back in August 2004. Then Daniel Chiritse and Lukas Hartig, who played for Zenit, received red cards.

It is worth recalling that Ivan Komarov received two yellow cards in a matter of seconds in the match that took place in Kazan.
