Mookie Betts of the Los Angeles Dodgers leads Ben's Team of the Month

Last week, Philadelphia's World Series odds increased from +1200 to +950.

After their second slot last week, Fox Sports MLB analyst Ben Verlander moved the Phillies to the top spot in his weekly power rankings.

Verlander wrote: “We've got a new team at the top. The Phillies have earned the No. 1 spot after going 8-2 and playing elite baseball over the last few weeks. Bryce Harper Had a three-game home run streak last week, when Alec Bohm Remains one of the best hitters in the National League (.338/.400/.534). Will need his production with Philadelphia Tree Turner Sidelines for a bit Ranger Suarez Added to his first Cy Young case Saturday with seven shutout innings. He now ranks second in ERA (1.50) and first in WHIP (0.72) among qualified starters.”

Verlander named Bryce Harper of the Phillies as his player of the week.

“The Phillies are rolling right now and Harper is front and center. The guy was apparently born to play baseball in Philadelphia. He still needs a World Series ring, though, and looks hungrier than ever to get it. This is where I remind you. That the Phillies are my preseason world. Series Peak.”
