Inter Miami's five-match winning streak has come to an end without Lionel Messi

Drake Callender made three saves for his second clean sheet of the season and Inter Miami held Orlando to a scoreless draw on Wednesday night.

Miami (8-2-4), which had never beaten the Lions in MLS play in Orlando, saw its five-game winning streak end. Miami was looking to become the third team since 2019 to win six consecutive regular-season games in the same season.

Orlando (3-3-4) is just 1-3-3 at home this season.

Lionel Messi could not play for Miami due to a left leg injury. Messi played the entire game on Saturday despite an injury scare in the first half. He left that game briefly after suffering a left knee problem following a foul by defender George Campbell late in the first half.

Luis Suarez, who scored twice against Orlando earlier this season, had a good chance to score in the opening three minutes but was saved by Pedro Gales.

Callender made a diving stop to keep Martin Ojeda's shot scoreless in the 32nd minute.
