Russian ex-Bayer goalkeeper spoke about the team's record

Almost no one expected that Bayer would never lose a game in 49 matches in all competitions this season, admitted former goalkeeper of the German team Andrei Lunev.

“I won’t say that I’m surprised, but I’m glad that Bayer’s unbeaten streak continues. Of course, before the season I did not expect that Bayer would have such a streak without defeat. But I expected that the team would fight for the highest places,” the footballer quotes “Championship”.

Bayer updated the record held by Lisbon Benfica for the number of matches in a row without defeat (48). The meeting with Roma in the 1/2 finals of the Europa League was the 49th for the German team in which it did not lose.

In the final of the tournament, Leverkusen will play against Alexei Miranchuk's Atalanta on May 22.
