Semak: “As long as there is a chance, we will fight”

Zenit head coach Sergei Semak gave a comment to Match TV after the game with CSKA.

– After such matches, what does the head coach think about first? Because again there is no goal scored.

– Absolutely right, without scoring goals there are no victories. Unfortunately, once again a very offensive mistake, which led to a penalty, which decided the outcome of the match. Naturally, to win, you need to score. As for such penalties, what should you do? This seems to be our fate today. Therefore, we will prepare for the next matches. As long as there is a chance, we will fight.

– There was a lot of horseplay and fighting, which CSKA won. Zenit took a lot of corners, and they did not bring results. Why?

– At some moments the goalkeeper played, at some points there were passes. In some areas we were not as active as we would have liked. Therefore, standards sometimes turn out better, sometimes worse. Of course, it’s a pity that, having such an advantage, we couldn’t score today.

– You said that you will fight as long as you have the chance. Now not everything is in the hands of Zenit. How unpleasant is this?

– It's always unpleasant. Our job is to work. Of course it’s unpleasant, what’s nice about it? The guys play, try, create, but, unfortunately, so far we are not getting the result we would like.

What do you think?
