One of the PGA Tour's more notable non-major tournaments will take place this week as some of the game's best get underway at the Arnold Palmer Invitational.

The event will be held at the Bay Hill Club and Lodge in Bay Hill, Florida. The course is a par of 72 which would be 7,454 yards long.

Tiger Woods has dominated here in the past (eight wins) but will not play in this year's edition.

When it comes to tournament betting, we've got you covered with everything you need, from odds to best bets.

Let's dive into its action.

beloved

Scottie Scheffler is back this week and in his usual spot as the +650 favorite to win the tournament. He won the event in 2022, shooting five-under to win by one stroke.

Rory McIlroy isn't far behind Scheffler, sitting at +900 to win it all. McIlroy has had some success at the event in recent years, winning the tournament in 2018 and finishing second last year.

Last year's winner, Kurt Kitayama, is a long shot to win, with +7500 odds.

Now that we've covered the basics, let's get to the top favorites and my portfolio for this tournament.

Odds and Fields*

Scotty Scheffler: +650 (bet $10 to win $75 total)
Rory McIlroy: +900 (bet $10 to win $100 total)

To make long-shot outright bets

If you follow me Twitter Or read this column, you know I like to bet on golf long shots (+2000 or more). There's something thrilling about holding a lottery ticket late on a Sunday. It also presents you with multiple hedging opportunities if you want to eliminate some of your risk.

I know there are some big names in this week's event, but 2024 is hot by long shots. Most of my bets this week are based on course history, so here are some people worth splashing the pizza money on:

Tommy Fleetwood +2500
Colin Morikawa +2500
Cameron Young +2500
Will Zalatoris +3500
Adam Scott +5500
Corey Connors +6000
