2023 Hero World Challenge Odds, Predictions: Favorites, Picks; Tiger Woods is back

This week, we turn our attention to Albany Golf Course in the Bahamas for the 2023 Hero World Challenge.

The biggest story going into the event is that 15-time major winner, Tiger Woods, is back! The legendary golfer will play in his first professional tournament since withdrawing from the Masters in April.

“I don't have any of the pain I had at Augusta … the surgery was a success,” Woods told reporters.

Despite hosting the event and being fully healthy, Woods is a huge long shot to land it. In fact, at +8000, his winning odds are the lowest of all participants on FanDuel Sportsbook's oddsboard.

“Woods” and “last” were not synonymous in the golfer's career.

According to FOX Sports Research, Tiger has never had odds higher than +1400 in any of his 15 major wins.

“It's rare to see Tiger as the longest shot on the board, but it's a limited-field event, and you have to remember that we've all learned over the last few years that he really is a mortal like everyone else.” said Thomas Gabel, Atlantic City's Borgata race and sports director.

“Woods had one of the most dominant runs in golf history, but as he gets older and injuries continue to take a toll on his body, you have to be realistic about what to expect from him. He's been Superman for a long time, but time catches up with everyone.” gives.”

For tournament gambling, we've got you covered with everything you need, from odds to best bets.

Let's dive into its action.

Many of the best in the game will be playing this week. Two-time defending champion Viktor Hovland is again favorite to win at +400.

Hovland is followed by Scotty Scheffler (+450), Max Homma (+800) and Colin Morikawa (+800) in a loaded field.

The course itself is par 72 and about 7,450 yards long, with bermudagrass greens.

Now that we've covered the basics, let's get to the top favorites and my betting portfolio for this tournament.

If you follow me Twitter, you know I like to bet on golf long shots. There's something thrilling about holding a lottery ticket late on a Sunday. It also presents multiple hedging opportunities if you want to eliminate some of your risk.

Here are some people worth splashing the cash on some pizza.
