MLB: Victorious comeback for the New York Mets in the 9th inning | RDS

A three-run comeback in the ninth inning allowed the New York Mets to win 6-5 against the Philadelphia Phillies at the Olympic Stadium in London. A good relay from Luis Torrens to Pete Alonso at first base subsequently allowed the final double play to be completed with the bases loaded.

The Mets' three runs in the ninth inning were produced first by a single from Mark Vientos, before an out. Two batters later, Alonso was hit by a pitch to advance a runner at the plate with the paths loaded, then an uncaught ball by JT Realmuto at the plate added a final run.

A walk to Alec Bohm with the bases loaded gave Phillies fans hope for a few moments, before the final out was made on a double play by catcher Luis Torrens.

It was the sixth win for the Mets this season as they trailed into the ninth inning or later.

In the loss, Kyle Schwarber had two hits in four at-bats.
