“Nothing is up to standard and everything has to be redeveloped”: what will become of the Nice mini-golf course?

Since the closure of the mini-golf at Parc Carol-de-Roumanie two years ago, the regulars were a little upset. And they made it known. The deputy mayor of Nice delegated to the Nice-Ouest Territory, Monique Bailet, went, at the end of May, to meet the residents of the neighborhood “to listen to their suggestions and wishes” on the future of this place.

An appointment was made in the garden. “The transformation of this space will require a lot of work, warns the elected official. As it stands, nothing is up to standard and everything must be redeveloped by first demolishing the existing one.” For the moment, as a safety measure, the enclosure is closed by a gate.

“The majority of people we met seemed to be in favor of installing a new mini-golf course,” reports Monique Bailet. “They told us that they were attached to this intergenerational activity. For the moment, nothing has happened. been decided. Several possibilities must be studied.”

If the reflection is in progress, Monique Bailet affirms that “Christian Estrosi, the mayor of Nice, will announce by the end of the year what has been selected.”
