MLB: Kiner-Falefa hero of the Jays; another good match for Toro | RDS

The Toronto Blue Jays kept the fun going until the 10th inning to finally win 6-4 against the Athletics in Oakland. The brilliance of Isiah Kiner-falefa allowed the Jays to win a fourth victory in their last five games. Toronto's third baseman produced five runs, including three in an extra inning on a double to center field.

The former New York Yankees and Texas Rangers also managed to produce the first two runs of the game on a single in the second inning.

After 39 hits in May, Quebecer Abraham Toro continued his momentum at the start of June with four hits in seven games. Toro didn't let up, hitting a two-run single in the seventh inning. He allowed Tyler Soderstrom and Aledmys Diaz to cross the plate.

Davis Schneider's sacrifice fly in the next inning created the tie, while, from third base, Daulton Varsho came to score.

For the locals, Brent Rooker hit the long ball in the sixth inning, to produce the A's first points in the match. This is his second home run in June, after the one against the Atlanta Braves on the first day of the month.

A controversial play occurred in the 10th inning. With one out, Davis Schneider hit a high ball into foul territory. Catcher Tyler Soderstrom then rushed to make the out, but Yusei Kikuchi accidentally blocked his path near the Jays dugout. After consultation with the referees, a withdrawal was granted.
