The press service of the Czech national team released information that before the match against Moldova in the Euro 2024 qualifying tournament, three players were withdrawn from the team.
“Three national team players violated the national team’s internal rules on Saturday evening. Jakub Brabec, Vladimir Zoufal and Jan Kuchta immediately left the national team by decision of the management,” the Czech national team said in a statement.
Czech media claim that the players were punished for visiting a nightclub and drinking alcohol ahead of the decisive European qualifying match
On November 20, the Czech team will host Moldova at home. One round before the end of the qualifying tournament, the Czechs are in second place in Group E with 12 points, two points ahead of the Moldovans. In the previous match, the Czech national team, having played 1:1 with Poland, deprived the Poles of a direct ticket to Euro 2024.
