The Ukrainian youth football team defeated their peers from Slovakia in the match of the 3rd round of the 1st qualifying round for the 2024 European Championship. The score of the match is 4:0 in favor of the “yellow-blues”.
Oleg Kuznetsov’s team rehabilitated themselves for their shameful defeat to Kosovo (0:4) in the last round.
In fact, the question of the winner of the match with Slovakia was closed in 9 minutes. In the 30th minute, Kolos central defender Ermachkov opened the scoring. Six minutes later, Maxim Derkach doubled the lead, and another central defender, Taras Mikhavko, made the score devastating in the 39th minute. The final score was set in the 84th minute, when Matvey Ponomarenko scored.
This victory guarantees Ukraine participation in the 2nd qualifying round of the European Championship.
