Former WBC world champion Deontay Wilder (43-2-1, 42 KO) expressed a desire to try his hand at the UFC.
“I’m trying to join the UFC family. I want to practice boxing and also try my hand at the UFC, I have already received a lot of calls. Now boxing is developing very slowly, many are afraid to fight.
In the UFC you don’t have to worry about records, it’s always about the best fighting the best. This is where I want to be. I have a few years left before I can do this. I want to squeeze everything out before my time runs out. I want to be a champion in the UFC and in boxing,” Wilder said.
It was previously reported that a grand boxing evening would take place in Saudi Arabia on December 23. Wilder will fight Joseph Parker from New Zealand.
