French defender of Lorient Benjamin Mendy has filed a claim against his former club, Manchester City, in the Labor Tribunal.
He accuses the club of not paying him his salary for almost two years, from August 2021 to July 2023. All this time, Mendy was suspended from football because he was under suspicion of several counts of rape.
This summer, Mendy was acquitted on all counts, and at the end of June his contract with Manchester City expired. The defender moved to Lorient as a free agent.
