Football players of the Cuban national team were bought boots before a sparring with Russia

The Cuban national football team found itself in an unattractive position when it flew to Volgograd for a friendly match with the Russian national team.

Already on site, the football players from Central America realized that their boots were not suitable for the turf of the stadium in Volgograd. I had to go to a local store and buy a batch of football shoes for the whole team.

“We have synthetic fields, as a rule, the lawn is not so wet, and therefore we use boots with short spikes,” admitted the general secretary of the Cuban Football Association, Miguel Angel Diaz, in a comment to Sport24. – When we arrived in Russia, we realized that we needed different shoes to play the match. We ended up buying the boots here. The quality was not as important as the characteristics of the shoes, so that it would be possible to play football normally on such a lawn.”

Note that the Russia-Cuba match will take place on November 20.
