An expert from the official UEFA website assessed the qualifying match for Euro 2024 in Group C between the national teams of Ukraine and Italy, which ended in a 0:0 draw.
“Italy attacked for most of the game but were unable to score against a very organized Ukrainian team who defended with a block when necessary. In the second half of the second half, Rebrov’s team tried to rebuild, but the goal that could have brought them victory in qualifying never came, and the reigning champions booked their place at Euro 2024,” the expert’s verdict said.
In the final table of Group C, Italy took second place, and Ukraine – third. The teams scored 14 points, but the Italians had the best additional indicators.
