General Director of Metalist 1925 Yaroslav Vdovenko announced the cessation of work at the Kharkov club. The 1925’s top manager cited a change of ownership at the club as the reason for this decision.
– I’ll be honest, since Monday [20 ноября] I won’t be working at Metalist 1925, so I can’t comment on anything right now. The owner of the club changed and it was time for me to leave.
– Have the owners decided to say goodbye to the old guard?
– No way. It was I who decided to say goodbye. The decision is long overdue. Everything was fine with the previous owners, but with the new owners the philosophy of the club has changed. So I left.
Metalist 1925 is in 11th place in the UPL table, with 15 points after 13 matches.
As you know, team coach Edmar left the Kharkov club not long ago.
