Marino Pusic became Shakhtar’s 16th coach in the Ukrainian championship, including the 10th from abroad. The Bosnian celebrated his debut at the helm of the miners with a victory, supporting a long-standing tradition. Previously, all the foreign coaches of the orange-and-blacks, with the exception of Igor Jovicevic, like Pusic, celebrated victory in the first match.
By the way, for the 4th time in history, Shakhtar changed two coaches during the season. Moreover, the last time such a collision occurred with the Donetsk team was 20 years ago, when they started the championship under the leadership of Bernd Schuster, and ended with Viktor Prokopenko and Mircea Lucescu.
