Metalist’s leading midfielder will miss several months
As Sport.ua learned, the injury of Metalist’s attacking midfielder Alex Chidomere turned out to be very serious. It was not possible to avoid surgery on the injured knee, and the footballer was recently operated on in his native Kyiv. The player will need several months to rehabilitate.
21-year-old Chidomere played 4 matches for Metalist this season in the First League and 1 in the Ukrainian Cup. The last time the midfielder took to the field was on September 2 in an away match with Bukovyna.
On Saturday, November 18, in the 17th round of the First League, the Kharkiv team will host one of the leaders of their group, Niva from Buzovaya, in Uzhgorod. The match starts at 12:00.
At the moment, Metalist is at the bottom of the Group A standings with 10 points.
