Defender of the Ukrainian national team and English Everton Vitaly Miklenko assessed the performance of the national team in qualifying for Euro 2024.
– What positive and negative moments for us in this qualifying round would you note?
– We’re still in the game. This is the most important thing for us. At the last training camp I had a conversation with the head coach. He said that when the draw for this “group of death” took place, no one even expected that we would fight for qualification to the Euro until the last match. So I think we performed well.
In this qualifying round, the “yellow-blues” have 1 match left to play – against Italy. It will take place on November 20 at 21:45 at the Bayer Stadium in Leverkusen, Germany.
