Flamengo have officially announced the appointment of Tite as head coach. The contract with the 62-year-old Brazilian specialist runs until the end of calendar 2024.
Tite’s coaching staff will include assistants Matheus Bachi, Kleber Xavier and Cesar Sampaio, fitness coach Fabio Mahseredjian and analyst Lucas Oliveira.
As head coach of Flamengo, Tite replaced Jorge Sampaoli, who was fired at the end of September. Tite’s previous job was with the Brazilian national team, which he left at the end of last year after being eliminated from the 2022 World Cup in the quarterfinals by Croatia.
