**Milan, October 9 (LaPresse)** – Jasmine Paolini has successfully secured her spot in the quarter-finals of the Dongfeng-Voyah Wuhan Open, the last WTA 1000 tournament of the year with a substantial prize pool of $3,654,963. This exciting event is currently being held on the hard courts of Wuhan, China.

The 29-year-old from Bagni di Lucca, who is ranked No. 8 and seeded seventh in the tournament, advanced after Denmark’s Clara Tauson withdrew due to a leg injury. Tauson, ranked No. 12 and the tenth seed, retired from the match while trailing at 3-6, 6-1, 3-1.
