PHOTO. Hamilton’s car sold at auction for a record amount

RM Sotheby’s held an auction during the recent Las Vegas Grand Prix that featured a unique lot.

The 2013 Mercedes race car driven by the future seven-time Formula 1 champion, Briton Lewis Hamilton, went under the hammer.

The initial price of the lot was 10 million dollars; in the end, the unnamed buyer paid 17 million in American currency for the car. Thus, Hamilton’s Mercedes “outdid” the legendary Michael Schumacher’s Ferrari, which was sold in 2022 for $15 million.
