The final day of preparation in the Polish Gdansk national Ukrainian national team I started with a fitness class.
Yesterday’s training on a sticky wet lawn, especially with the first snow and low temperatures, was quite a physical challenge. Today the guys had the opportunity to work functionally in the gym.
Physical training coach Vitaly Kulyba divided the classes into three stages: stretching, working on an exercise bike and tennis ball. Thus, groups of football players replaced each other at a certain time interval.
After lunch, the blue-and-yellows left the Hotel Grano, which had been their residence since Monday, and went to the airfield. The flight to Cologne lasted an hour and a half. After this, the Ukrainians traveled another 25 km by bus and arrived at the hotel at 19:00, located directly at the BayArena stadium. It is here that the decisive Euro 2024 qualifying match between Ukraine and Italy will take place on November 20.
And the day before, the Ukrainian national team will hold an official training session on the BayArena field, which will begin at 17:00 (the first 15 minutes will be open to the media). Half an hour before this, the head coach of the national team Sergei Rebrov and one of the blue-yellow players will meet with the media in a press conference.
