A qualifying match for Euro 2014 took place in Group E. The Polish national team hosted the Czech Republic; in order for the hosts to maintain their chances of directly qualifying for the Euro, they only needed a victory.
However, the match ended with a score of 1:1, the players lost their chance to take a place higher than second. Now they can only get to the Euros through the Nations League playoffs.
