The Dutch Sports Law Institute has decided to suspend former Ajax sporting director Marc Overmars from football for two years, one of which is suspended.
The reason for this verdict was the proven guilt of the ex-Ajax and London Arsenal player of sending a photo of the genital organ to one of the club’s employees from Amsterdam.
The suspension means Overmars, 50, is banned from holding any position in organizations associated with the Dutch football association for a year. The probationary period is two years.
On February 7 last year, Marc Overmars resigned from the post of sporting director of Ajax after a story came to light about his online harassment of one of the club’s employees.
