The coach of the Italian national team assessed Ukraine before the decisive Euro qualifying match
Italian national team coach Luciano Spalletti assessed the last Euro 2024 qualifying match against Ukraine. A draw will be enough for the Italians to qualify for the Euro, while Sergei Rebrov’s team only needs a victory.
“We are going to the match with Ukraine with confidence that we can get the desired result. The Ukrainian national team has a set of strong attacking players and players who are in good shape. Their counterattacks could cause us problems. We need to put pressure on the opponent and stick to our system, without opening up free zones for them.”
“We want the Italians to love this team, and the match with Ukraine is a great chance to show themselves. Motivation is off the charts,” Spalletti said.
The match will take place on November 20, starting at 21:45.
