“I think we are in really good shape,” Watkins was quoted as saying by the Evening Standard. “We remained unbeaten in the qualifying group and retained our leading positions, so there is no negative here – only positive. Although we did not win the last match with North Macedonia (1:1), we still played well and created many chances. But nothing is given for nothing.
How will the other teams at Euro 2024 perceive us? They will be afraid to play with us. We are one of the best teams in the world. We have world-class players, so we are definitely a fear factor for other teams.”
