Ukrainian heavyweight boxer Alexander Usik shared his emotions from the press conference with Briton Tyson Fury:
“Listen, I think Tyson is No. 1 in press conferences. He talks a lot. I can’t talk him out of it, even though I try. I think that this is impossible.
Tyson is the first in “blah blah blah”. It’s good, I respect him and his team. I’m always ready to fight.
But a press conference is a show. For me, this is life. If you want to push me, I won’t just stand there. This is my spot. Do not touch me. Let’s talk in the ring.”
The fight will take place on February 17, 2024 in Riyadh (Saudi Arabia).
Previously, this meeting was planned for December 23, but Tyson Fury received a cut during a fight with Francis Ngannou and the confrontation was postponed. Oleksandr Usyk previously fought with Daniel Dubois, where he won by knockout.
