In a stunning incident from Panna in Madhya Pradesh, visitors police issued a challan to a person strolling on the street. The person, recognized as Sushil Kumar Shukla, later appealed to the Superintendent of Police (SP) to handle the state of affairs.
Sushil Kumar Shukla, a labourer by career, claimed he was carrying an invite for his daughter’s birthday on the time of the incident. He acknowledged that he was neither on a motorbike nor utilizing any automobile, but a challan was issued in opposition to him for not sporting a helmet. The challan even cited an unknown motorbike quantity.
In keeping with Sushil, the incident occurred on January 4. Whereas returning house after delivering the invitation, he was stopped by three or 4 policemen and brought to the police station. There, a challan of Rs 300 was allegedly issued to him for not sporting a helmet. He claimed the policemen admitted that they had been issuing the challan “to fulfill their goal”.
Shukla subsequently filed a grievance with the SP, who was equally stunned upon listening to the matter.
Ajaygarh police station’s in-charge additionally expressed disbelief, stating that it was illogical to difficulty a challan to a pedestrian for not sporting a helmet. With a proper grievance being lodged, an investigation into the incident has been initiated.
