Delhi has been “choking” in dense smog since Wednesday because the air high quality dipped to “extreme” from “very poor”. On Friday, the town’s Air High quality Index (AQI) hit 409, based on the Central Air pollution Management Board (CPCB). This marks the third consecutive day the town has been trapped within the “extreme” AQI class. As residents gasped for clear air, the Web was busy respiratory life into hilarious memes.
An X (previously Twitter) consumer Nikhil gave Abhishek Bachchan and Sonam Kapoor’s Delhi 6 poster a makeover to focus on the town’s air air pollution. The poster is rebranded as “Delhi-600″, with the actors sporting face masks. Even the pigeon within the poster is hilariously seen carrying a masks, including to the humour.

In response to the meme, a person twisted the lyrics of the Delhi 6 track Genda Phool. It reads, “Mujhe ye gham mera rishta pawan ki gandagi se hai.”
“The pigeon with the masks although,” stated one other.
A 3rd commented, “Details,” whereas a fourth posted, “Banger.”

To handle the town’s worsening air high quality, the government carried out Graded Response Motion Plan (GRAP) Stage III measures from November 15, pausing all development and demolition work. BS-III petrol and BS-IV diesel four-wheelers are banned from working on the streets of the nationwide capital. Together with this, business autos are additionally banned from coming into NCR.
Delhi’s Setting Minister, Gopal Rai, emphasised that the accountability for the town’s air pollution doesn’t relaxation solely with Delhiites. He identified that neighbouring NCR states share equal accountability. “If we need to cut back the air pollution ranges in Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Rajasthan, and Central governments should work collectively,” he stated.
