On October 15, the LNZ players filled the October break in the UPL championship with two sparring sessions in Odessa. Head coach Oleg Dulub exclusively told Sport.ua whether he was satisfied with these control matches:
– It was important for us to conduct exactly two sparring sessions today so that each of the players received a sufficient playing load. After all, in LNZ, for various reasons, several performers dropped out at once and therefore were not in the same physical condition as their teammates. And when we turned to Chernomorets with a request to first hold a match with their youth squad, and then with the main team, they met us halfway. I would like to take this opportunity to thank the people of Odessa for their hospitality. Everything was organized perfectly, which is very important during the preparatory period.
We won against the reserve team – 6:0, and ended with the team of the “sailors” peacefully – 1:1. Ivan Kalyuzhny scored for LNZ. The main thing is that there were no injuries; many previously injured players (Maxim Kovalev, Sergei Rybalka, Evgeniy Banada) are already close to fighting shape. After a day of rest in Cherkassy, we will begin preparations for the next calendar match – with Shakhtar, which will take place in Lviv on October 21.
So far the team has nine points and is in 12th place in the UPL championship. Earlier, the head coach of LNZ commented on the draw in the match with Alexandria.
