Galaktionov: “From the point of view of organizing the game, we played very disciplined”

Lokomotiv head coach Mikhail Galaktionov gave a comment to Match TV after the game with Rostov.

– I think that today organization and discipline, game discipline on the field, came to the fore. The guys are handsome, they played very carefully in defense today. We were preparing for such pressure from Rostov that there would be a lot of transfers, we would have to grab a lot of rebounds, there would be a lot of passes into the penalty area. In principle, this all turned out to be familiar to us. From the point of view of organizing the game, we played very disciplined.

– There were a lot of moments when your team ran out with several people, and instead of passing, the players really wanted to shoot. Will you somehow work through this? Or is it their right to do this?

– It’s clear that when you run out on a counterattack, it’s very important to manage your moments correctly. A player who will see his partner, will not be greedy and will pass in a more advantageous situation so that your partner will play and score has always been valued. Perhaps he did not see the moment, this needs to be said. Of course, we need to make the most of such attacks.
