Dustin Poirier Picks Conor McGregor to Defeat Michael Chandler at UFC 303: 'I Think He'll Stop Him in Two Rounds'

Former interim lightweight champion Dustin Poirier claims that if fierce rival Conor McGregor returns in the same condition as before breaking his leg at UFC 303 this summer, the Dubliner will defeat Michael Chandler in just two rounds.

Poirier, a former interim lightweight champion, is scheduled to headline UFC 302 next month, taking on undisputed titleholder Islam Makhachev in his third attempt at undisputed gold within the organization.

“I think if Conor (McGregor) comes back in any way (the way he was), with his timing and rhythm – but with the injury he's had and being out for so long – we're not getting any younger either.” , – Dustin Poirier told MMA Fighting. “If he (McGregor) comes back the way he was before he left, I think he will stop Michael Chandler. If Conor is who he was before the injury and everything, I think two rounds. I think the fight will end in two rounds.”

Poirier's prediction is based on McGregor's statements yesterday that former three-time Bellator MMA lightweight champion Chandler is far from his “level.”
