34-year-old Joselu writes history: Real Madrid beat Bayern in three minutes and reached the Champions League final

Real Madrid and Bayern played in the semi-finals of the Champions League. The second match of the 1/2 finals took place on May 8 at the Santiago Bernabeu stadium.

Game protocol

The second finalist of the Champions League was determined by Real Madrid and Bayern Munich. If PSG and Borussia missed each other for only six days and eventually assigned the Parisians to the main match of the tournament, then Madrid and Munich prepared for the match for eight days, and Tuchel also used the main squad in the game lost to Stuttgart. Ancelotti gave the leaders a rest, and also received a charge of positive emotions – last weekend Real became the champion of Spain.

The charged “kings” from the very first minutes felt like Manchester City in the quarter-finals of the Champions League. “Bavaria” won back “Real” and placed a good-quality bus at Neuer’s gate. The density was high, but this did not reduce the work for Manuel. The first super chance came in the 13th minute. From the right edge came a throw to the penalty spot, where Vinicius was lost. The Brazilian fired a long shot, but hit the post, and Rodrigo, who arrived in time to finish, hit Neuer.

Bayern defended, fought back, and in the middle of the first half there was a fateful substitution. Out of the blue, Gnabry was injured and Alphonso Davies came on in his place. But let’s not talk about that yet; Real pressed Bayern ever harder. Vinicius, again from the left, flies into the penalty area and twists it under the far post, but Neuer pulls it out in a jump. Manuel continued to accumulate saves that kept Bayern in the game.

In some episodes, the guests were downright lucky. Now Vinicius assisted with a well-timed cross, Rodrigo was momentarily ahead of Dier and fired just to the right of the target. Next, the same Rodrigo executed the standard with jewelry, twisting it under the crossbar from 25 meters, but Neuer again won the duel. Vinicius also had a chance, outpacing De Ligt. From 12 meters the Brazilian fired under the crossbar – Neuer saved again.

And such a heap of unrealized chances came back to haunt Real. Kane delivered the ball to Davis, who dribbled into the penalty area from the left edge. The Canadian skillfully placed the ball under his right hand and brilliantly placed it into the far corner – 0:1. Shock at the Santiago Bernabeu. It also intensified three minutes later, when, after Valverde’s shot, Nacho put his foot down and beat Neuer. But the score did not change, because the Spaniard openly pushed Kimmich before the effective action.

But Real got involved, the pressure increased, and Ancelotti also had a fateful substitution. IN the 81st minute, 34-year-old Joselu came on for Rodrigo. And away we go. Vinicius' mid-range strike did not look particularly dangerous; Neuer wanted to secure the ball, but dropped it in front of him. Joselu won the rebound from Dier and played like a real predator – 1:1.

Three minutes pass (the first of nine added ones is underway), the corner is played by the “kings”, in the confusion Nacho throws it to the left, Rüdiger crosses from there, and at the far post the lonely Joselu scores a touch – 2:1. The goal was checked for legitimacy and counted, the Santiago Bernabeu rejoiced. And Real held on to a strong-willed victory, although they made their fans nervous by allowing De Ligt to score from an offside position.

There will be no German Champions League final: Real Madrid will play against Borussia Dortmund on June 1st.
