​Neuer: “I think everyone understands our feelings now”

In European football, the return semi-final matches of the Champions League took place; Bayern Munich suffered a dramatic setback in the game with Real Madrid – while winning, it conceded two goals in the last minutes and lost. The match scenario was very similar to the famous lost final against Manchester United in 1999. Bayern goalkeeper Manuel Neuer did not hide his feelings:

– Everyone who plays football understands how we feel now. It's very bitter to lose when you're leading until the 88th minute. “I simply have no other words,” BBC Sport quotes Neuer as saying.

In the final, Real Madrid will play against another German team, Borussia Dortmund.
