Former Zenit sports director Boris Rapoport spoke about the problems of the St. Petersburg team in recent matches.
According to the expert, the reason for the “blue-white-blue”’s poor performance in attack is the poor execution of scoring chances.
“Now the main problem of Zenit is that the players have stopped converting chances. It's hard to say why it doesn't work. It happens that confidence turns into uncertainty if the ball doesn’t go into the goal,” Rapoport quotes “RB Sport”.
After 27 rounds of the RPL, Zenit leads the standings, one point ahead of its closest pursuers Krasnodar and Dynamo.
