Sean O'Malley ready for future lightweight fight with UFC star Conor McGregor: 'That would be legendary'

Undisputed bantamweight champion Sean O'Malley has proposed a future pairing with former two-division lightweight champion Conor McGregor – after the Dubliner attacked the title holder for careless use of ostarine.

O'Malley, the current undisputed bantamweight goldholder, headlined UFC 299 back in March against Marlon Vera, scoring a one-sided unanimous decision victory over the Ecuadorian to successfully defend his title and avenge his only professional loss.

“He (Conor McGregor) is very popular right now,” Sean O'Malley said during an appearance on Rough talk. “I'm pretty realistic when it comes to the big guys. I'm like, okay, I'm 35 years old. I stay in my lane and do my thing. “I could go up to 45 (pounds), I would fight Wolf (Alexander Volkanovski), I would fight Max (Holloway), I would fight Ilia (Topuria), but I’m staying on my line.”

“Conor is one of the few guys I would fight and I’m as big as the bastard,” Sean O’Malley explained. “I would just fight him at 55 (pounds). Firstly, this is a huge salary, and secondly, this is Conor. It would be legendary. So he’s one of those rare guys that I would fight that is well outside my weight class.”
