Zhilei Zhang says he and Deontay Wilder will 'fuck the hell out of each other' – Latest Boxing News

Chinese enforcer Zhilei Zhang says there is no chance his upcoming fight with fellow puncher Deontay Wilder will go the distance, and Big Bang have said both sides will serious blows thrown. Zhang, who recently turned 41, said he and Wilder would “get away from each other” when they clash.

Speaking to Queensbury, Zhang, 26-2-1(21), admitted he made a mistake against common opponent Joseph Parker and that he hired a nutritionist to lose some weight while maintaining his punching power. Zhang said he is “getting better” and feels “much better, but the strength is still there.”

Zhang, as we know, was gassed or fought extremely carefully for fear of being gassed when Parker made the decision about him. However, Zhang now says he will be in much better shape for the Wilder fight and that he will unleash some “Chinese power.”

“I made a big mistake by underestimating Parker,” Zhang said. “I had to admit that it happened. At the same time, I learned a lot from this fight. We went back, analyzed every little detail and corrected our mistakes. I believe that in the next fight I will be new. I don’t think this fight will go the distance because with China and Alabama in power, we’ll beat the hell out of each other and this fight won’t last.”

Wilder, like Zhang, needs to prove a point and save his career as the former WBC heavyweight champion is equally in need of a win or something else. The result was two desperate punchers battling it out on fight night. If so, then we fans will be the real winners! How long does Wilder have left, 43-3-1(42)? How have the years treated Zhang and will he be here again battling the fear of gassing? Which of these two has the better chin and ability to land punches to the head?

This is an exciting fight. And this could very well become a huge fight. It's almost impossible to disagree with Zhang when he says this one won't last the distance. No chance.
